Marion J's Mah Jongg Fun Day 2026

Mahj for a Cause! The Women of TRS invite you for a fun half-day of playing Mah Jongg in the Social Hall. Attendees may play in one of two sections—Competitive or Recreational.  All have a chance of winning fabulous prizes while raising money for charity.

Fun Day Schedule^

  • 1:00-1:30 PM Check-In, Nosh, Find Your Seat

  • 1:30-2:15 PM Round One: 3 Games Competitive/2 Games Recreational (5 minute break follows)

  • 2:20-3:15 PM Round Two: 4 Games Competitive/3 Games Recreational (15 minute break follows)

  • 3:30-4:25 PM Round Three: 4 Games Competitive/3 Games Recreational (10 minute break follows)

  • 4:35-4:45 PM Bonus Round: 1 game (First to call Mahjverified—from either section wins the bonus)

  • 4:45-5:00 PM: Awards, Closing Remarks

^All players start Rounds on time. 

​

Cost: $50 for WoTRS members; $55 for non-members

​

Registration Ends: Thursday, May 21, at 11:59 pm.

Maximum Capacity: 80 total players. Registration may close early if capacity is reached.

All players must register. Just want to donate? Check the Donation box and fill in your donation amount. Players who choose to add a donation must check one Player Fee Box and the Donation Box then indicate the donation amount. 100 percent of Donations go to charity and do not cover player registration expenses.

Mah Jongg Participants

Please make sure you have read the following two resources.

  • Player FAQs includes a guide to help you choose a section that will best match your idea of fun. Additionally, it includes information of what to bring with you, the 7 fabulous non-cash awards and 4 cash awards, and terms for registration cancellation/substitutes.

​

  • MJMJ Fun Day Rules includes National Mah Jongg League Rule reminders, the process for rotating tables after rounds, and scoring for Competitive and Recreation players.

 

These one-page documents are in place to establish a level playing field, help you understand what to expect and benefit everyone's comfort for this public event.
